NEWSLETTER          April 2008

Things are warming up, flowers are blooming, car shows and swap meets are popping up all over. Everyone or most are getting the cars out and dusting them off because   JC Whitney is coming up soon.

The 50/50 draws were won by Don Klein-not present $53 (April 2) and Frank Dumke - not present $66 (April 16)

A vote was taken to have the car show the Car Show this year at Buffalo Rock State Park . We’ll have less expenses, more parking and more shade. No guarantee on if it will rain.

Sponsors are coming in but more are needed, some that we had last year still have to be ask if they’ll sponsor us again this year.

Our treasurer Dave W. made his report and moneys have been deposited and all bills paid.  We're still in the black.

Charities brought up for this year are Seneca H.S. Auto Shop, Food Pantry, PADS, River Rescue and Easter Seal. We may vote on this next month.

Gary H., Mike D., and Mike W. talked about making signs for Cruise Night.

The club will be purchasing new T-shirts to sell this year at our events, but we still have some of the older shirts that be sold at a reduced price.

I will try to have the Thank You Letters and frames for the sponsors. I’ll also have the shirts or hats for your $100 sponsors.

Our May meeting will be on the 7th at 7:30pm.  We still are in the planning stages of Cruise Night.  We are gathering items for the handout bags, maybe some of your sponsors would have something to donate.  The second meeting will be May 21, 2008.  The meetings are at the Ottawa American Legion on  the corner of LaSalle and Jackson Streets.

Summer Hats (mesh tops) are still available for $6.25. Give Mike Wasilewski a call at 433-4879.  I also have summer and winter hats (same price) call Don Ristau, 433-3014.
